Early in the year, we recommend some mixed organic fertilizer. Apply a layer of mulch around the base of the tree. The nectarines will ripen, depending on the weather, between August and September. If you leave some nectarines on the tree to ripen for longer, they will get even sweeter. To protect against the birds getting to the fruit first we advise netting over the tree.
