Harvesting Details
  • Planting
  • The root ball of the Honeyberry plant should be moist, soak in a bucket of lukewarm water before planting. Prepare a large hole in well-drained soil that is not too dry. Loosen the soil and plant the honeyberry at the correct depth in the hole. The top of the root ball should be just slightly below ground level. Fill the hole with soil and press firmly. Water immediately after planting. Honeyberry grows well in a sunny or partially sunny area. Allow one square metre of space around the bush.

  • Care
  • Honeyberry is an easy-to-grow, hardy shrub that requires minimal maintenance. Place a mulch of compost around the bush every year. During dry periods water more often. Prune the crossing branches in early spring. The plants that we sell are self-pollinating, however if another plant of another variety is in the same vicinity a greater yield is guaranteed. From late May onwards, the Honeyberries will be ripe. Birds also love these berries, so if necessary, temporarily cover the bush with a net or foil.
