Planting and flowering details
Show morePlant your Cascadian® ‘Indian Summer’ mix' as soon as possible after receiving them, in the garden, pots or a hanging basket. Prepare a planting hole - improve poor soil with some well-rotted manure or potting compost. Space your petunias at approximately 20 cm. Fill the hole and press down firmly. Water immediately and generously. Use fresh potting compost for a pot. In a sunny spot, this magnificent Petunia Cascadian® ‘Indian Summer’ mix will be smothered with flowers all through the summer!
Petunias in pots and hanging basketsThe petunia is excellently suitable for planting pots, boxes and hanging baskets. In spring, place the young plants close to one another in fresh potting compost. You can create beautiful combinations with, for example, Lobelia, trailing geraniums and Verbena.
Show moreRegular fertilisation will provide rich flowering of the plants of this Petunia Cascadian® ‘Indian Summer’ mix. Regularly use plant nutrition in the water during bloom. Regularly cut off spent flowers, in this way your petunia will produce even more flower buds.
Show morePetunias are particularly popular in hanging baskets. However, the long stems can also lie on the ground. That is why the plants of Petunia Cascadian® ‘Indian Summer’ mix are excellent bedding plants. You could fill a bed surrounded by low 'box' hedging with these summer bloomers. Or you could decorate a border along the garden path with the very remarkable dark flowers of this petunia. The stems can also trail from a low wall like a waterfall.
How to usePetunias come into their own in hanging baskets, in planters on the patio or decking, or in beds and borders. Try filling a low ‘box’ hedged bed with petunias - such lovely summer flowers. Or, decorate a border along the garden path with the lovely dark coloured flowers. The stems full of flowers will also hang wonderfully over a low wall. From late spring right up to the first frosts you can enjoy colour in your garden or on your patio! Although not really for cutting, the flowers do look quite pretty in a summer bouquet
