Fuseables® Multi Seed Pellet 'Try Basil' mix

From seeds to a garden full of flowers

Easy to sow and grow! The Fuseables® 'Try Basil' mix contains seeds of 3 types of basil: common basil, red-leaf basil and basil with coarsely serrated leaves. Together they will grow in a beautiful, specially balanced mix. Great in a beautiful pot on your decking or patio, and ready to be used in your dishes!

Fusable can best be translated as multi-seed pellet. In addition to the different seeds, fertiliser is also added to the pellet. One pellet will be sufficient for a Ø 10-15 cm flowerpot, and three pellets will do for a Ø 24 – 30 cm pot.

  • Planting
  • Fuseables® 'Try Basil' do not require any pre-treatment. The seed will germinate in 3 – 4 days.
    How to Sow
Sowing period under glass: March – April.

Sowing is possible from March and would be easiest in a small greenhouse on the window-sill or in a cold greenhouse. Fill little pots with sowing soil and place 1 seed on the soil of each pot and press it down gently. Fuseables® 'Try Basil' consist of light germinators, so the seed should not be covered. Add water carefully and the warmth will do the rest.

You can inhibit growth by moving them to a cooler but light location. If necessary, first plant them out to a small pot. Plant them outdoors from mid-May, but make sure you harden them off first. For this you will move the plants outdoors for an hour longer each day, in a sheltered spot outside of the sun. After 5 days they will have hardened off and you can plant them on their final outdoor destination.

    Planting out
Plant the Fuseables® 'Try Basil' mix in their final destination from mid-May. They are perfect in a beautiful pot on your patio table, but Fuseables® 'Try Basil' will do equally well as border or flowerbed planting. But of course, they also have their place in a vegetable garden.

Place Fuseables® 'Try Basil' mix plants approximately 20 cm apart in open ground, and 10 cm apart in pots and hanging pots. Dig a hole, improve the soil and place the Fuseables® 'Try Basil' mix in the plant hole. Fill with more soil and press down firmly. Water immediately after planting. In a spot in full sun, these Fuseables® will flower throughout the summer.

  • Care
  • Water more often during dry periods. Keep the pot or plot with Fuseables® free from weed, you will then get better results. The culture of the Fuseables® 'Try Basil' mix is very undemanding, but they do not like to have wet feet. Regular fertiliser will provide the Fuseables® 'Try Basil' with a rich picking. As soon as there are signs of flowers starting to grow, pinch out the stems and the plant will produce more aromatic leaves.

When in leaf, add plant nutrition to the water every two weeks. The plants can be used from June until the first frost.
