Create yourself a natural setting with a bare-rooted Anthurium in water, by following these easy steps:
- Use a large bucket.
- Remove the plant from its culture pot and carefully rinse off the soil between the roots with the bucket under a lukewarm tap (to catch the soil and not clog your sink). Cold water would shock the roots too much, and your hands won’t get too cold either if you use lukewarm water.
- Filll the (glass) vase with water (room temperature) - just so deep that the roots are just below water level.
- Choose a lovely, bright spot in your home for this lovely creation. It’s just that easy!
Here’s an extra tip: avoid limescale deposits in the vase by using bottled water (plain, not bubbly) instead of tap water. Bottled spring water (or mineral water) also contains minerals that will help nourish the plant.
