Planting and flowering details
  • Planting
  • As soon as possible after receiving Narcissus ‘Falconet’ bulbs they can be planted in the garden, a flower pot or in a planter. If not they must be kept in a frost-free area. Bulbs planted in a flower pot are not usually frost resistant. Plant the bulbs in a planting hole that is three times as deep as the height of the bulbs. For example a bulb of 5 cm should be planted in a 15 cm deep hole. The planting distance of Narcissus ‘Falconet’ is about 7 cm. Loosen the soil well and plant the bulbs point upwards. Refill the hole and avoid walking over the soil.

The more bulbs you plant, the better the effect so plant in groups of at least six – or scatter 25-50 bulbs evenly over bed or border. Narcissus ‘Falconet will thrive in loose, permeable soil, anywhere in the garden.
    Narcissus ‘Falconet’ in pots
Narcissus ‘Falconet’ will be perfect in pots or window-boxes too. Ensure fresh potting compost and a layer of gravel on the bottom. Plant point upwards and protect them from frost – store in a frost-free area or wrap the pot in bubble wrap. Water in dry periods. When flowering is over, plant the bulbs in the garden.

  • Care
  • Narcissus ‘Falconet’ bulbs can remain in the same spot for many years. Deadhead faded flowers and this will direct energy back into the bulb. After flowering, leave the foliage to die down naturally and cut back when it has turned yellow. Your daffodil ‘Falconet’ will be sure to reappear next year with all this good care. Great for allowing to naturalise.
