The taste of radishes grown by you yourself is just incomparable to those in the shops. Home-grown radishes have a fuller flavour, a nice, crisp, crunchy texture and spicy too. Eaten raw, freshly picked, they taste just delicious but thrown into a mixed salad they will always be popular. An open sandwich, cheese topped with home-grown radishes – mmmmm. Even new, young radish leaves are tasty – try them in a salad.

A radish is really mostly water so is very low in calories. They make a terrific healthy snack. Radish is rich in vitamins B and C, iron and lots of minerals. Iron is great for enrichening your blood so snack healthy – eat radishes!
