Butterfly and Insect Garden

Although some insects and small creatures can be pests in the garden, there are many that are indispensable for your flowers and fruit. Butterflies are not only beautiful and symbolic of summer; they act as vital pollinators for your garden. They can be attracted by bright, colourful, nectar-bearing plants, and will look for areas of shelter. Bees are even more important, as many plants, flowers and fruit trees would be doomed to extinction without them. Bees are attracted by pollen and nectar-rich plants and fragrant herbs. Other insects that are an indispensable part of the natural ecosystem can be tempted with a pile of decaying leaves or a fancy insect hotel.
